The South Bellingham neighborhood is known for its rugged, largely undeveloped landscape, which is why many people love it. There are several natural features in the neighborhood that contribute to its undeveloped state, including Chuckanut Mountain, Chuckanut Bay, Hoag's Pond, and Chuckanut Creek. The neighborhood is also home to some excellent parks, including Fairhaven Park, Arroyo Park, and Woodstock Farm. Most of the area is characterized by small pockets of homes intermixed with forest.
