Dirty Dan Harris Festival

Description

The Dirty Dan Harris Festival is an annual event that celebrates Fairhaven's "unscrubbed" community founder, Dirty Dan Harris (Daniel Jefferson Harris). During the festival, attendees celebrate Dirty Dan and the founding of Fairhaven by dressing up in clothing from the time period and participating in the many activities taking place at the festival. Activities include live music, street vendors, great food, a dress contest, the "Dirty Dan Sidewalk Saloon", and other competitions like the chili cook-off and the uphill piano race.
