Ski to Sea is Back!
After two years of cancellations, it's been announced that this spring Ski to Sea is returning! This is great news for locals and visitors alike, as Ski to Sea is a highly popular event that draws in thousands of participants.
For those unfamiliar with the event, Ski to Sea is a multi-sport team relay race that begins in the Mount Baker ski area and ends in Fairhaven. The race includes teams of three to eight people, and the legs of the race include cross country skiing, downhill skiing or snowboarding, running, road biking, canoeing, cyclocross biking, and sea kayaking. The Historic Fairhaven Festival takes place on the same day as the race, and is a place to greet incoming racers, enjoy food and drinks, shop from local vendors, and listen to live music. Ski to Sea will be taking place on May 29th, and registration for the event is now open.
