Fairhaven Winterfest – Carriage Rides & More – Final Saturday
Amidst Fairhaven's festive 100+-year-old buildings--and along streets and public spaces decorated and lit up to brighten your strolling, shopping and dining--enjoy the holidays with some very special events!
- Ongoing through today
- Horse Drawn Carriage Rides: Each Saturday (weather permitting) from 12-3pm free carriage rides will be leaving from the Fairhaven Village Inn.
Find the Elves Treasure Hunt: Each Saturday, Father Christmas’s eight "elves" will be tucked away in eight separate Fairhaven venues. Participants can collect a passport from Village Books, that will be stamped for each elf they find. All completed cards (turn in at any location that hosts an elf) will be entered into a drawing on Saturday, December 23rd.
Children will be able to leave letters for Father Christmas in the classic Victorian mailbox located on the Village Green stage with the forest of trees. Father Christmas's "Fairhaven Elves" will spirit the letters away for his perusal--but we hear they will sometimes sneak photos of the envelopes before delivering them, and they will share these on the Historic Fairhaven Facebook page --so be sure to keep watch (and like Historic Fairhaven)!
Window Display Contest: Vote on your favorite window display and have a chance to win a great prize. (Visit Sustainable Connections for more information and how to vote.)
Whether you're a resident, or a visitor looking for a great holiday get-away, plan to experience the best of the holiday season surrounded by the festive atmosphere of Historic Fairhaven—shop, dine, wonder, meander, enjoy!
