Tip Johnson, portraying Fairhaven Founder Dan Harris, rowed into the Padden Lagoon yesterday to the cheers of hundreds of people along Harris Avenue.

Our modern day Dan Harris, aka Tip Johnson, and row organizer Dale McKinnon, are shown in the upper left of this aerial photo, rowing along Lummi Island about 1 pm today. They are headed for Inati Bay, where they will spend the night. In the bottom right is the 43-foot catamaran Gato Verde, which is acting as mother duck or support base for the rowers.
