Historic Fairhaven is usually associated with shops, restaurants and historic buildings.  But our district also harbors many outstanding professionals who prefer having their offices in this relaxed and beautiful urban village.  Susann Schwiesow (pronounced sweeso) is one of them.  She is a highly respected Northwest residential landscape designer.  With her partner, Chris Drilias, they have been creating beautiful yards and estates for over 20 years.  They refer to it as creating outdoor spaces that can be lived in and enjoyed - garden rooms.  Their projects are what help the Northwest have such a reputation for beautiful urban living and their work has been featured in many publications, including Sunset.  You can see photos of some of their projects on their website.
