Lori is new owner of Book Fare

With the best views in Fairhaven from its many window tables, Book Fare restaurant has slowly become a favorite meeting place for friends.  Whether morning coffee with pasteries, midday lunch, or evening glass of wine with light fare, it has the potential to be one of Fairhaven’s favorite places.  But it has always lacked a bit in some things.  Now that promise looks much better with its purchase by Lori Calderhead-Wetzel, shown above.  Lori is expanding the wine list to include more locals and her family wines.  The choices of appetizers is being expanded. She is improving service and making the small changes that make a place more inviting.  And she is there every day managing and serving customers.

Conveniently located on the second floor of Village Books, I can strongly recommend you try Book Fare for your next meeting with a friend.  And if you haven’t been there in a while, try it again and you will be pleasantly surprised.  Lori has taken a nice place we have enjoyed and is improving it.  The views over the Village Green and the bay to the San Juan Islands are as great as ever.  And now the service, menu and ambience are improved.
