Going North To Alaska

<< Back to archives | Friday, July 11, 2003

Campers and RVs drive on - or rather into - the Alaska Ferry ‘Columbia’ at the Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven on Friday. A steady stream of campers loaded in the late afternoon. ‘Tis the season when vacationers from all over the USA and the world come to Fairhaven and go north to Alaska. Two ships a week go north during the summer, with the first stop at Ketchikan, Alaska, 36 hours out of Fairhaven. Come on down at 6 pm on any Tuesday or Friday and enjoy the send-off of the Alaska Ferry.

Visit our Gallery at 901 Harris Avenue. Hundreds of rugs on display.
