2011 - 9th Annual celebration of the founding of Fairhaven

Our annual celebration of seafood and community founder Dirty Dan Harris. The festive event is free to attend and features food & games, live music, dress-up contests, fun stuff for young ones, chowder cook-off and the world's only piano race! All activities take place at the Village Green except for the rowing challenge which starts at Boulevard Park.

Saturday - April 30, Fun & Games from 10 am to 4 pm on the Village Green10 am - 3:30 pm: Seafood, live music and kids activities including Friendliest Catch Contest, Toy Boat Building, Old Fashioned Felting and more.
10 - 10:45 am - Live Music - Penny Stinkers
11 am - Emerald Bay - ballet short presentation from upcoming Fairhaven themed production
11:30 - 12:15 pm - Live Music - Penny Stinkers
12:30 pm - Salmon Toss contests - especially enjoyed by the young ones. A favorite each year.
1 - 1:45 pm - Live Music - Gallus Bros
2 pm - Cupcake Eating Contest - with Katy's Cupcakes of Fairhaven donating the cupcakes.
2:30 - 3:30 pm - Live Music - Gallus Bros
3:45 pm - Piano Race - It only takes minutes, but what a thrill to watch. This is the world's only piano race.
Sunday - May 1, 10 am to 4 pm on the Village Green10 am - Dirty Dan Harris Challenge rowing race at Boulevard Park. All other events on the Village Green.
12 - 12:35 pm - Live Music - Pretty Little Feet
12:45 pm - 1800s Dress Contest - on the stage at the Village Green - all welcome to enter
12:45 - 1:15 pm - Live Music - Pretty Little Feet
1:20 - 1:45 pm - Emerald Bay - ballet short presentation from upcoming Fairhaven themed production
2 - 4 pm - Chuckanut Chowder Cook-Off - Sample a variety of tasty chowders from over 15 of the regions best
restaurants! A $10 ticket gets you a taste of each chowder, a bowl of your favorite and a roll from Avenue Bread!
Tickets sold at the event. - cash only!
2:15 pm - Gallus Bros
3 pm - Dirty Dan Look-a-Like contest - we will have past winners and hopefully new ones. Open to any guy with good whiskers.
3:15 - 4 pm - Live Music - Gallus Bros
4 pm - Chowder Awards - Judges' Choice & People's Choice
