Saturday and Sunday, October 18 & 19, 2014 will be the third annual celebration of Alaska Day at Fairhaven Pizza & Prawns. As owner Tom Trailbush said, it is "to honor our roots and because so many others in Bellingham have a connection to the 49th state." Each year Tom heads to his home state of Alaska to fish for spot prawns and returns right before Alaska Day to provide the freshest catch for the celebration. He will be grilling them all afternoon and into the evening, and he also flash-freezes the prawns so they're available on the menu year-round, as well as for special bulk orders!
On all other days, diners may "Take Out or Dine In or Take & Bake." Select from the expansive specialty pies, or craft your own combos from a huge selection of toppings, from anchovies to crunchy pepperoni to pinenuts to zuchinni. FH Pizza offers a thin whole wheat blend crust as well as a gluten-free crust. Their bar includes several craft beers on tap, assorted wine (including Proseco on tap), and house made artisan desserts.
