ABOUT Fairhaven Bicycle
Fairhaven Bicycle opened in Fairhaven in 1971 with the mission of providing the best quality bike (and later mountain sports equipment) sales and service possible.
While for many years the shop added products and service for skiers and snowboarders--it was the first snowboard shop in Bellingham and in Whatcom County (check out the picture of Guy Morrissey on top of Mount Baker in 1984 in the elevator lobby on the first floor)--they were also the first to introduce Bellingham to mountain bikes. Indeed, the heart of Fairhaven Bike (and Ski) has always been bikes, and in 2014 has reverted back to a bike (only) shop.
A store is only as good as the people who work in it, and Fairhaven Bicycle has always been fortunate to have the help of great people -- check out the staff profiles on the shop's website. Each works hard to give customers the best repairs and bike assemblies, servicing almost all brands of bikes, and even ice skates.
The sales crew believes in hands on fitting and each has his or her own area of experience, and as a team, Fairhaven Bicycle provides the kind of quality and service you expect.
Out of towners, or those just wanting to try something new, the shop rents bikes, as well as car top boxes and bike racks.
Fairhaven Bicycle carries a variety of cycling sporting equipment no matter the season, with the highest quality brands, such as Specialized, Bianchi, Traitor, Raleigh, Electra and Dahon, as well as garment brands like Canari, Sugoi, Fox, Gore, Specialized, and Five Ten shoes.
"Our store has always had a strong emphasis on quality first and an eye for good value. Thanks for taking the time to check us out. I want to personally invite you to visit our store on your next trip through Fairhaven--we hope to see you soon!" --John Hauter (owner)
*Fairhaven Bicycle is also the store with the famous Dividend Program where you'll receive 5% back on all non-sale purchases.
